THE TIP OFF
- The Gonzaga Bulldogs travel to Portland on January 6 to open up West Coast Conference play this season.
- This is the first game for the Zags since Dec. 21 when Gonzaga went to Eastern Washington University and won 76-48. The team had to take a pause due to COVID protocols and had to postpone games against San Francisco on Dec. 30 and Loyola Marymount on Jan. 1.
- Junior Kaylynne Truong leads the team with 11.9 points a game and has logged 43 assists so far this year.
- Despite having to sit out three games due to an injury, junior Kayleigh Truong is right behind her sister with 11 points a game and 30 assists.
- Melody Kempton leads the WCC in field goal percentage with 55.3 percent. She is also averaging 10.8 ppg.
- GU is forcing an average of 14.3 turnovers per game and a total of 172 so far this season.
