THE TIPOFF
- The Gonzaga women's basketball team stays on the road to take on No. 2/2 Stanford on Dec. 4 with a Noon tipoff on the Pac-12 Network.
- GU is coming off a 71-59 road win against Stephen F. Austin on Dec. 1.
Kaylynne Truong had 21 points and seven assists,
Yvonne Ejim added 19 points and nine rebounds in the victory.
Brynna Maxwell was the third Zag to finish with double figures as she finished with 13 points for Gonzaga.
Calli Stokes made her first career start and scored eight points.

- The Bulldogs are currently shooting at a program record 80.9 percent from the free throw line, which also ranks fifth in the country.Â

Brynna Maxwell has made a three-pointer in every game so far this season. Maxwell is shooting 54.1 percent from the three-point line to rank first in the West Coast Conference and 10th nationally.
- As a team, the Bulldogs are shooting 40 percent from beyond the arc, which is currently ranked 11th in the nation and first in the WCC.Â
- The Zags are ranked No. 23 in the AP Poll and No. 25 in the Coaches Poll.
- The Bulldogs were picked to win the West Coast Conference. The Zags received nine first-place votes that and totaled 81 points in the poll. The poll is voted on by the league's 10 head coaches, and coaches are not allowed to vote for their own team. Portland received one first-place votes and was selected to finish second with 71 points, while BYU was voted to finish third with 55 points.
- Gonzaga has amassed a conference record of 257-33 (.886) during the last 17 seasons, which includes 16 West Coast Conference regular-season titles and nine WCC Tournament championships.

Yvonne Ejim were also named to the Preseason All-WCC Team. Ejim is the reigning WCC Sixth Woman of the Year while also receiving All-WCC Second Team in 2021-22.

Kaylynne Truong was named to the WCC Tournament team along with the Rainbow Wahine Showdown MVP as she was ranked third on the team in scoring last year.Â

FIRST MEETING: The first meeting was back in 2010 on the road. The Zags fell 105-74 at Stanford. The Bulldogs had its first win over The Cardinal on Nov. 18, 2016 on the road, 68-63. GU also defeated Stanford at home on Dec. 2, 2018.  Â
LAST MEETING: The Zags played Stanford twice last year for the first time in program history. Gonzaga fell 66-50 on the road while playing a close game at home, but ultimately falling 66-62.

- The Cardinal is 588-97 (.858) all-time at Maples Pavilion, including 172-17 (.913) since the start of the 2010-11 season, the fourth-best percentage in that time behind Baylor, UConn and FGCU.
- The Cardinal is the unanimous pick by both the coaches and media to win the Pac-12 Conference for the third year in a row. Stanford is ranked No. 2 in both the Associated Press and USA Today Coaches polls.
