LOS ANGELES, Calif – Yvonne Ejim scored 24 points, Brynna Maxwell added 22 and No. 19/20 Gonzaga won its 30th-straight over Loyola Marymount, 96-51, on Saturday.

Kaylynne Truong added 18 points for the Bulldogs (14-2, 4-0 West Coast Conference) and McKayla Williams had 11.

The Zags started off hot in the first quarter and had a 35-13 lead at the end of the first. Ejim scored 10 points with both Maxwell and Williams also scoring nine. The Bulldogs shot a blistering 82.4 percent from the floor and outrebounded the Lions, 10-4.

Gonzaga kept the pace up in the second quarter with another 20 points to take a 60-25 lead going into halftime. Four Zags were already in double figures and scored 10 three pointers in the first half alone. Ejim led the way with 16 with Truong and Maxwell both recording 12. Williams also had 11 in the opening half for GU.

At the half, GU was shooting at 73 percent from the field and held LMU to only 39 percent.

Records: Gonzaga moves to 14-2 on the year and 4-0 in the WCC. LMU falls to 4-11 and 1-3 in the conference.

Both Maxwell and Ejim scored over 20 points today for Gonzaga.  This is the first time two players have scored 20 points since Jan. 6, 2022, against Portland.

This is the second time this season the Zags have scored at least 30 points in the quarter as they also did it against Southern Utah on Nov. 12. It also was the second time the team has scored over 50 in a half and over 90 points total, which also both happened against SUU earlier this year.
