MORAGA, Calif. — No. 12 Gonzaga struck first in game two of its West Coast Conference series with Saint Mary's at Guisto Field Saturday, but the Gaels responded with four unanswered runs for a 4-2 win that upended the Bulldogs' bid for a sixth-straight conference series win and evened the series at a game apiece.
Grayson Sterling brought in both of the Zags' runs with a two-RBI single in the third and
Savier Pinales picked up three hits to lead the Bulldogs (25-11, 12-5 WCC), but they couldn't generate the requisite runs despite getting runners on base in seven different frames.
