THE TIP OFF

- Against USD, Khalil Shabazz scored over 20 points for the sixth time this season and the second straight game, finishing with a team-high 21 points to go along with eight rebounds. Zane Meeks tallied 12 points and eight rebounds for USF.
- Shabazz, a preseason All-WCC selection, averages a team-best 15.5 points and 3.5 assists per game.
- Washington State transfer Tyrell Roberts chips in 14.2 points and 2.4 assists per outing. Meeks scores 12 points per game, while grabbing a team-high 6.8 rebounds.
- The Dons rolled to a 97-60 home win over then-ranked No. 25 Arizona State on Dec. 21. USF led by as many as 47 points and was led by Shabazz with 26 points.

Drew Timme was named the University Credit Union West Coast Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week for the third time out of the last four weeks the league announced Monday.
- Timme received the honor for the eighth time in his GU career, earning the accolade three times in 2020-21 as a sophomore and twice last season.
- Timme helped Gonzaga surpass the 100-point mark in both of its games last week, posting 26.5 points, 8.5 rebounds, 4.0 assists and 1.5 steals in victories over Eastern Oregon and Pepperdine.
