THE TIP OFF
- Gonzaga travels to the University of the Pacific for the 22nd meeting between the programs Saturday at 7 p.m.
- The Zags are coming off a 68-67 loss to Loyola Marymount Thursday. Drew Timme led the Zags with 17 points. Nolan Hickman chipped in 12 points, six assists and three steals, while Rasir Bolton scored 10 points.
- Gonzaga leads the country shooting 51.4 percent from the field and is second averaging 85.9 points per game. Drew Timme ranks second in the nation with 168 made field goals and fifth with 425 points. His 21.3 points per game rank 11th in the nation. He leads the conference shooting 60.2 percent from the field. He is sixth in the WCC averaging 7.8 rebounds. Julian Strawther's 7.2 rebounds per game are seventh. Nolan Hickman tops the West Coast Conference with a 2.35 assist-to-turnover ratio. Anton Watson is fourth averaging 1.8 steals.
- GU ranks fourth in KenPom's offensive efficiency, finishing in the top three in each of the past four seasons.
- The Zags are No. 6 in the Associated Press poll. The Bulldogs' 125 straight AP Poll appearances top the nation. Houston is the next closest at 56 consecutive appearances in the Top 25. 
- The Bulldogs have come back from double-digit deficits in five victories this season.
- Drew Timme was named to the Wooden and Oscar Robertson National Player Midseason Watch Lists.

SCOUTING THE TIGERS
- After opening West Coast Conference play at 3-1, Pacific has lost back-to-back games to Santa Clara and at San Francisco Thursday.
- In the 78-57 loss at USF, Donovan Williams dropped 15 points for the Tigers, while Jordan Ivy-Curry scored 11 points off the bench.
- Keylan Boone averages a team-high 11.7 points per game, while grabbing a team-best 4.5 rebounds.
- Tyler Beard, Luke Avdalovic and Jordan Ivy-Curry chip in 9.9, 9.7 and 9.3 points for Pacific.
- Beard averages a team-high 2.9 assists and 0.8 steals.
- Avdalovic has made a team-best 46 three-pointers on 56.8 percent from behind-the-arc.
- Pacific boasts home wins over Fresno State, San Jose State and Loyola Marymount this season.
 
SERIES NOTES
- This is the 22nd all-time meeting between GU and Pacific.
- The Zags have won 20 of the previous 21 matchups in the series, including the last 18 straight.
- The Bulldogs are 18-0 against Pacific under Mark Few.
- The Tigers lone victory in the series came in Stockton in 1976, 70-60.
- The Bulldogs won the last meeting between the teams, 89-51, in Spokane last season on Feb. 10. Rasir Bolton scored 20 points and Drew Timme added 13 points and 10 rebounds.
- In the last meeting in Stockton, No. 1 Gonzaga stayed unbeaten rallying for a 76-58 victory on Feb. 4, 2021. Drew Timme scored 21 points, and the Bulldogs trailed at halftime and didn't pull away until midway through the second half.
