SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. – Gonzaga's
Maddie Kemp became the third Bulldog to win University Credit Union West Coast Conference Offensive Women's Soccer Player of the Week honors, while Kira Ybarra from San Francisco won University Credit Union WCC Defensive Player of the Week for the first time this season. Both student-athletes were part of memorable weekends for their respective programs from big wins to records set.
UNIVERSITY CREDIT UNION WCC OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – MADDIE KEMP, SR., F – GONZAGA
Kemp posted her second hat trick of the season, becoming the first Zag to record a hat trick since 2019. Kemp jumped from fifth to fourth all-time at GU with 23 goals in her career, and to third with 61 career points. Kemp led the nation's top scoring offense on a record-breaking night Wednesday as the Zags broke the program's single season goals, assists and points records in a 5-2 win over Pacific. This is Gonzaga's third Conference offensive weekly award and the fourth overall for the Zags.
