SACRAMENTO, Calif. -- The Gonzaga men's rowing team wrapped up competition at the Head of the American this afternoon on Lake Natoma.
"Guys rowed hard today but we have some things to work on," head coach
Dan Gehn Said. "Overall, it was good hard racing."
In the men's open eight race, the Bulldogs had two boats competing with the 1V8 placing second with a time of 15:36.1. San Diego took first by crossing the finish line at 15:28.9. The JV8 boat also competed in the same race and took sixth out of 14 teams racing with a time of 16:09.9.
The Zags also raced in the open four competition with three different boats. The 1V4 finished third with a time of 17:17.5, barely behind second place Orange Coast at 17:17.2. The 2V4 crew placed fifth out of 20 boats with a 17:47.6 time. The 3V4 boat took seventh in the same race with a 18:11.3 time.
