TACOMA, Wash. – A week after winning in her last event, Gonzaga women's golfer
Grace Lee tied for third at the Pat Lesser Harbottle SeattleU Invitational Tuesday.
Lee carded a 68 (-4) in the final round to finish two-under (214). Her third round featured six birdies and 10 pars. The sophomore led the 119-golfer field with 14 birdies in the tournament. She was also fifth in the event averaging 4.75 (-3) on the course's Par-5 holes. Lee had back-to-back rounds of 73 (+1) in the first and second rounds.
As a team, the Bulldogs tied for fifth at 17-over (881). GU was three-under (285) in the final round after totaling a 298 (+10) in Rounds 1 and 2.
In her second collegiate event,
Esther Yoo tied for 17
th. The freshman was four-over (220). She made 14 pars in Tuesday's round of 72 (E). The Porter Ranch, Calif., native was one-under (71) in the second round with two birdies and 15 pars.
Chaewon Baek tied for 24
th at five-over (221). She was second in the field with 43 pars in the tournament. The junior was consistent with an opening round 73 (+1), a 75 (+3) in Round 2, and a 73 (+1) in the final round. In Round 3, Baek made 17 pars.
Taylor Mularski tied for 54
th (+10, 226). She made two birdies and 15 pars in the final round.
Nevada's Leah John took medalist honors at five-under (211). She carded a tournament-low 66 (-6) in Round 3. Carly Strole of Grand Canyon was second at four-under (212).
Grand Canyon placed first as a team with a team total of 866 (+2). Nevada was close behind at five-over (869).
Gonzaga is off until the Rainbow Wahine Invitational Oct. 23-25. The tournament is at the Kapolei Golf Course on Oahu. Live scoring will be available on GoZags.com.
