Men’s Soccer Earns a Draw in the Bay Area

Zags and San Francisco play to scoreless draw

Box Score SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. – Gonzaga men's soccer played to a scoreless draw with San Francisco on the road Saturday.
 
The Bulldogs' (2-6-4, 0-1-1 West Coast Conference) defense kept a clean sheet at USF. The Dons outshot GU 17-7, but the Zags had a 3-2 edge in shots on frame. Gonzaga's Wessel Sprangers made four saves to hold off San Francisco (5-3-3, 0-1-1) WCC.
 
Stefano Campisi took two shots to lead Gonzaga. Chris Swider, Jesse Riodil, Ian Silva, Devin Slingsby and Ben Augee each took one shot. Gabriel Bracken Serra took a match-high six shots to lead the Dons.
 
The Zags forced San Francisco's Eric Waltz into four saves. It was USF's third shutout of the season, and GU's first.
 
Gonzaga welcomes Washington (5-3-3) next Saturday at 6 p.m. The game will be broadcast on ESPN Plus with live stats on GoZags.com.
