  • Vanessa Polk started the Pepperdine offense in set two with a pair of kills right away. The Waves extended to an 11-4 lead behind a barrage of kills from Hendrickson, Chillingworth, and Meg Brown.
  • Trailing 23-9, GU picked up some late kills from Jody Smith and Fallon Thompson, but a final blow from Chillingworth put and end to the second set and give Pepperdine a 2-0 advantage.
Third Set – Pepperdine, 25-12
  • Pepperdine grabbed a quick 6-1 lead in the third behind another pair of Chillingworth kills. A Waves service error and another Smith kill brought Gonzaga within three, but Pepperdine's Avery Shimaitis extended the lead back to five with two kills of her own.
  • Thompson, Smith, and Rickert joined in with a kill each to keep the Pepperdine lead at five (16-11), but a final 9-1 Waves run completed the three-set sweep.
