SPOKANE, Wash. – The No. 20 Gonzaga women's basketball team defeated Pacific, 69-58, in the Kennel on Thursday night. The win marked GU's 19th-straight victory at home.
The Bulldogs (24-3, 14-1 WCC) were led by
Kaylynne Truong who scored 21 points after making seven three-pointers.
Brynna Maxwell was right behind her with 17 points and made four of her own three-pointers for the Zags.
Eliza Hollingsworth returned to the lineup with eight points for GU after being in concussion protocol since Jan. 26.
Maud Huijbens also returned for Gonzaga, which was her first game back since she played against Tennessee on Nov. 21.
After the first quarter, the Bulldogs led 20-7 with Truong scoring nine points. The Zags shot at 57.1 percent from the floor and went 4-for-6 from beyond the arc. Pacific (12-15, 7-9 WCC) shot 18 percent and only made one three-pointer in the opening quarter.
GU scored another 15 in the second to earn a 35-24 lead going into halftime. At the half, Gonzaga shot at 50 percent and held the Tigers to 29.7 percent. GU also won the boards in the first half, 23-19, with Hollingsworth and
Esther Little both grabbing five.
McKayla Williams started a 12-0 run with a layup and ended it with a 3-pointer early in the third quarter to give Gonzaga a 49-27 lead. Maxwell's four-point play at the two-minute mark made it a 25-point lead for GU. The Zags shot a blistering 83 percent from the three-point line as they went 5-for-6 in the third.
The Bulldogs added 10 more points in the fourth quarter with Truong scoring six of those points. Ejim also grabbed a team-high five rebounds in the final minutes for Gonzaga.
Overall, GU shot 46.6 percent and 52.2 from the three-point line. Defensively, GU held Pacific to 33.8 shooting percentage. The Bulldogs won the rebounding battle, 41-38, with Ejim grabbing nine.

Kaylynne Truong has now scored in double figures for 17-straight games and has scored in double digits in 24 games so far this season. This also marked the third-straight game that the senior scored at least 20.
Brynna Maxwell scored four three-pointers today to extend her streak to scoring at least one in all 27 games this season.
With 12 three-pointers today, the Zags have made at least 10 threes in seven games so far this year.
With 19-straight wins at home, the Zags hold the second largest home winning streak in the nation. The Bulldogs are only behind South Carolina, who have won 39-straight.
