Yvonne Ejim have been named to the WCC Women's Basketball All-Academic Team. Junior
McKayla Williams and redshirt junior
Eliza Hollingsworth also were named honorable mention.
This year's 10-member first team encompasses WCC student-athletes who excelled both on the court and in the classroom.
At the conclusion of each athletic season, the WCC selects an all-academic squad for each WCC-sponsored sport. To be considered, a student-athlete must maintain at least a 3.20 cumulative grade point average, while also being a significant contributor to his team and in at least their second year at their school.
Ejim currently leads the Zags with 16.4 points and 8.2 rebounds a game. Ejim has started in every game for the Bulldogs this year and averages 27.5 minutes a game. Ejim is majoring in Human Physiology and boasts a 3.52 GPA.
Truong is the next leading scorer with 16.1 points a game and has dished out a team high 148 assists already this year. She also has started in every game this year for GU and averages 32.4 minutes per contest. Truong is majoring in Kinesiology and holds a 3.62 GPA.
Williams has started in every game for the Zags this year and averages 30.7 minutes a game. She averages 7.8 points per contest and has grabbed 32 steals so far this season. She is majoring in Political Science and has a 3.50 GPA.
Hollingsworth is majoring in Human Physiology and boasts a 3.2 GPA. She has started in 23 games for the Zags this season and averages 9.1 points a game. She also grabs an average of 5.2 rebounds in her 26.2 minutes a contest.
