MISSION VIEJO, Calif. – Gonzaga women's golf placed eighth at The Beach Invitational at the Mission Viejo Country Club Tuesday.
Grace Lee tied for 16th, leading the Bulldogs, at 18-over (234). She carded a 77 (+5) in the first round, before concluding her final rounds at 79 (+7) and 78 (+6). Lee finished with 27 pars and five birdies on the tournament. On the course's Par-5 holes, she was three-over (5.25).
As a team, the Zags finished the tournament at 82-over (946). Gonzaga concluded the tournament with their lowest round of 309 (+21).
Cassie Kim tied for 25th at 20-over (236). She made 32 pars and three birdies over the two days.
Quynn Duong tied for 45th at 24-over (240) and
Chaewon Baek tied for 53rd at 27-over (243). Baek scored the lone Zags' eagle in the final round.
Alyssa Nguyen finished in 80th place at 40-over (256).
Sam Houston's Zulaikah Nasser took home medalist honors at six-over (222). UCLA took the team title at 47-over (911). They held off Colorado State, who was 52-over (916).
Gonzaga is scheduled to travel to Sedona, Ariz., to play at the Red Rocks Invitational March 18-19.
