SEDONA, Ariz. – Gonzaga women's golf placed fourth in the Red Rocks Invitational at the Oakcreek Country Club Sunday.
Cassie Kim, leading the Bulldogs, tied for eighth at three-over (219). She carded a 69 (-3) and a 73 (+1) in her first two rounds, before finishing her last round at 77 (+5). Kim made 35 pars and 9 birdies in the event.
As a team, the Zags finished the Red Rocks Invitational in fourth place at 22-over (886). They shot a 293 in their first round, their lowest of the tournament. Combined, Gonzaga made 164 pars, 37 birdies, and an eagle across the Red Rocks Invitational.
Grace Lee tied for 15th place at five-over (221). In her second round, she made the lone Bulldog eagle. Alyssa Nguyen tied for 18th at six-over (222) and Quynn Duong tied for 23rd at eight-over (224). Taylor Mularski tied for 90th at 23-over (239).
Northern Arizona University's Ellena Slater took medalist honors at four-under (212). Navy claimed the team title at 16-over (880) holding off Grand Canyon at 20-over (884).
Gonzaga is set to travel to Maui, Hawaii, to play at the Anuenue Spring Break Classic March 27-30.
