LAHAINA, Hawaii – Gonzaga women's golf placed 10th in the Anuenue Spring Break Classic at the Royal Ka'anapali Golf Course Wednesday.
Cassie Kim, leading the Bulldogs, tied for 21st place at two-over (218). She carded a 71 (-1) and a 74 (+2) in the opening rounds, before finishing her final round at 73 (+1). Kim made 28 pars and 12 birdies across her three rounds. On the course's Par-5 holes, she was four-under (4.67).
As a team, the Zags finished the Anuenue Spring Break Classic in 21st place at 35-over (899). Their first round of the tournament was their lowest, shooting a combined 297. The team made 156 pars, 29 birdies, and an eagle in the tournament.
Quynn Duong tied for 40th place at seven-over (223). She made the lone Bulldog eagle in the tournament. Alyssa Nguyen tied for 48th place at 10-over (226) and Taylor Mularski placed 70th at 18-over (234). Grace Lee placed 80th.
UCLA's Zoe Campos took home medalist honors at 12-under (204). She held off Tulane's Carla Bemat, who was 10-under (206) across the tournament. Pepperdine took the team title at 18-under (846).
Gonzaga travel to Millbrae, Calif., to play at the Silicon Valley Showcase April 10-11.
