Bulldogs Have Record Breaking Spring in Classroom

Department posts a record 3.57 combined GPA

SPOKANE, Wash. – Gonzaga student-athletes combined to post a department record 3.57 grade-point average for the Spring 2023 semester. It was the 15th consecutive semester with a Departmental GPA above a 3.30.
 
The previous department GPA record was set in the Fall of 2021 at 3.54. All of GU's athletic programs achieved over a 3.0 GPA in the 2023 Spring semester. The Zag men's tennis team led the way with a 3.85 GPA, followed by women's tennis at 3.82, and volleyball with a 3.70.
 
Gonzaga had a record 117 student-athletes earn President's List Honors (3.85 semester GPA or higher) and 111 earned Dean's List Honors (3.5-3.84 semester GPA). The 228 total honorees also marks a departmental record, besting the 227 set in the Fall semester. Additionally, 53 Bulldog student-athletes earned a perfect 4.0 GPA, which was another departmental record.
 
Gonzaga's women's rowing had 36 team members earn their way onto honors lists, the highest team total, including a department-high 19 on the President's list. Men's rowing and women's cross country and track followed with 30 student-athletes on honors lists.

Men's Tennis: 3.85 (3rd all-time)
Women's Tennis: 3.82 (3rd all-time)
Volleyball: 3.70 (3rd all-time)
