Box Score SPOKANE, Wash. – Cal Poly scored four goals in the first half in a 4-0 win over Gonzaga men's soccer at Luger Field Wednesday.
The Mustangs (2-3-1) extended their unbeaten streak to three matches with the road victory. It was the first home loss of the season for the Bulldogs (2-3-4).
Jackson Kestler scored twice for Cal Poly and recorded an assist. He opened the scoring in the sixth minute off an assist from Sean McTague. In the 21
st minute, McTague found the back of the net for the second time this season with assists to Kestler and Conner Lisenbee.
Kestler scored his third goal of the season in the 35
th minute, before Rylan Firouznam had the game's fourth goal in the 45
th minute.
Both teams took 13 shots in the match, with both sides having seven shots on goal. The Zags had a 4-2 edge in corner kicks.
Justin Siegel made seven saves in the Cal Poly net, while
Wessel Sprangers had three for Gonzaga.
Stefano Campisi led GU with four shots.
