THE SERIES
- The Gonzaga women's basketball team travels to Stanford this Sunday, Nov. 10. This will be the fourth-straight season the Bulldogs play The Cardinal. 
- Last year, the Zags defeated Stanford, 96-78, in The Kennel. Brynna Maxwell scored a season-high 27 points, Yvonne Ejim added another 27 points and 12 rebounds, and Gonzaga handed No. 3 Stanford its worst loss in nearly four years.
- Gonzaga is coming off an 82-69 season-opening win over Montana. Five Zags scored in double figures, led by freshman Allie Turner with 18 points.
- The Bulldogs were picked to finish first in the West Coast Conference in preseason polls for the third-straight season. Graduate student Maud Huijbens and Fifth Year Yvonne Ejim were also named to the Preseason All-WCC Team as the poll and preseason all-conference team.
- Gonzaga is receiving votes in both the AP Poll and Coaches Poll.
- Head coach Lisa Fortier currently sits at 266-63 in her career. Among active Division I coaches, she is fifth in winning percentage at 80.8%. 
- Yvonne Ejim has been named to multiple preseason watch lists including the Wooden Award Preseason Team, Katrina McClain Power Forward of the Year, the Naismith Trophy Player of the Year, and Becky Hammon Player of the Year.
- Lisa Fortier was named to the Kathy Delaney-Smith Coach of the Year preseason watch list after she had won the award last season.
- Yvonne Ejim has a chance to make history in the record books. She currently has 1,676 career points and is 490 points away from breaking the all-time scoring record. She has recorded 26 double doubles in her career. This also extends her lead of double digit scoring to 43-straight games.
- The Zags have won 37-straight games at home, which is a school record and ranks second in the nation only behind South Carolina (59-straight).
- The Bulldogs are coming off a historical season after advancing to the Sweet 16 for the fifth time in program history. GU finished with 32 wins last year, which was the most in a season as the team earned a top four seed into the NCAA Tournament. 
- Last season, Yvonne Ejim was named an AP All-American Honorable Mention, Naismith POY Watch List, Katrina McClain Top 5 Power Forward Finalist, the Wade Trophy Watch List along winning the Becky Hammon Player of the Year, WCC Player of the Year and WCC Defensive Player of the Year. 
- Lisa Fortier was named a semifinalst for the Naismith Coach of the Year award as she led the Zags to its 15th overall NCAA appearance last year.

THE SERIES
SERIES INFO: Stanford leads 12-3 with the teams playing in 13 of the last 15 seasons. Lisa Fortier has been the head coach for all three wins.
LAST MEETING: Gonzaga won 96-78 on December 3, 2023, in Spokane, Wash. The victory over the No. 3 Cardinal is the highest ranked victory in program history.

SCOUTING THE CARDINAL
- Stanford sits at 2-0 and has averaged 100.5 points in those contests while holding opponents to 54 points. 
- The Cardinal is led by Elena Bosgana who has averaged 19 points a game so far this year. Four other players also average in double figures, including Nunu Agara (18 pts), Jzaniya Harriel (14.5 pts), Tess Heal (14 pts) and Chloe Clardy (14 pts).
- Stanford won Kate Paye's first game as head coach over Le Moyne, 107-43. The Cardinal hit a school record 18 3-pointers in the victory, including a 6-for-7 effort from Jzaniya Harriel as part of a career-high, 24-point performance.
- Stanford returns two starters and nine letterwinners to a team that posted a 30-6 overall record a season ago and won its 27th conference championship with a 15-3 mark in the Pac-12
- The Cardinal was picked seventh in the ACC preseason poll and is outside the preseason AP Top 25 for the first time since 1999-2000.
