SPOKANE, Wash. -- The Gonzaga men's soccer team dropped their final game of the season to the University of the Pacific, 2-0, on Luger Field.
The first half of the game was tied at 0-0, and Gonzaga outshot the Tigers, 7-5.
Chema Preciado made three saves in the first 45 minutes, while Pacific recorded five.
The Tigers scored in the 55th minute with a goal from Kai Sullivan with an assist from Jose Maria Barrera. Pacific added onto its lead in the 77th minute as Barrera found the back of the net with an assist coming from Matteo Carbone and Daniel Govea.
Gonzaga kept the pressure on UOP with four more shots in the second half but could not get past Pacific's goalkeeper.
Overall, GU outshot Pacific 11-10 and recorded seven shots on goal.
Talan Rochelle led the way with four shots and two shots on goal.
Ben Augee and
Farhan Moustafa also had multiple shots with two each. Moustafa had two shots on goal as well while Augee had one.
Gonzaga finishes the season at 6-10-2 overall and 5-5-1 at home.
