SPOKANE, Wash. – With the official release of the 2025 West Coast Conference baseball schedule Wednesday, Gonzaga baseball's full 51-game slate for the 2025 season is now complete.
Head coach
Mark Machtolf will begin his 22nd season at the helm and 35th season overall at Gonzaga in 2025. Machtolf has 597 career wins during his tenure at GU, needing three to become just the second coach in program history to eclipse 600. Last season, Machtolf became the second coach in West Coast Conference history to reach 300 conference wins.
GU will open West Coast Conference play against Pepperdine Mar. 21-23 in Malibu, Calif., where the Waves are coming off their first WCC Championship Tournament appearance since 2018 after claiming the sixth seed last season.
After a midweek game on the road, GU will host Pacific Mar. 28-30 to open a seven-game home stretch. The Zags will then welcome San Francisco Apr. 4-6 before hitting the road once again. First, a three-game series at Santa Clara Apr. 11-13 before a break from WCC play Apr. 17-19, when they travel to Southern California for a three-game non-conference series.
The Zags return home to resume West Coast Conference play Apr. 25-27 when San Diego, the regular-season and WCC Tournament Champion in 2023, travel to Spokane for three games. Then, the final stretch of the regular season will begin at Loyola Marymount May 2-4. GU will then return home to welcome Saint Mary's May 9-11, with their senior recognition set for the final day of that series.
Their 2025 WCC schedule will conclude May 15-17 at Portland, with the Zags hoping to return to the West Coast Conference Tournament for the eighth-consecutive time. Since the WCC moved to a postseason conference tournament format in 2013, no team has made more appearances than Gonzaga (ten).
Game times and streaming information will follow in the near future.
