THE TIPOFF
- The No. 16/17 Gonzaga women's basketball team hits the road to play Saint Mary's this Thursday.
- GU is coming off a 71-47 win over LMU on Saturday. Kaylynne Truong scored 13 points with eight assists as the Zags played without Yvonne Ejim due to her playing for Team Canada last week.
- Gonzaga is currently on a 32 home game winning streak. It ranks second in the country South Carolina (52). Gonzaga's 18-straight wins is third in the country along with their 23-2 (.920) record. Their 23 wins is the most in the country.
- GU is currently defeating conference opponents by an average of 30.9 points.
- Five Zags are averaging double digits in scoring including Yvonne Ejim (20.3), Brynna Maxwell (13.8), Kayleigh Truong (12.4), Kaylynne Truong (11.4) and Eliza  Hollingsworth (10).
- Head coach Lisa Fortier currently sits at 257-61 in her career. Among active Division I coaches, she is fifth in winning percentage at 80.8%.
- The Zags are third in the country and first in the WCC in three-point percentage at 40.4%. GU's 49.2% in field goals also ranks seventh. From the free throw line, GU is sixth with 79.7%.
- Kaylynne Truong is fourth in the nation and first in the conference in assists with 159 so far this year along with 11th in the country in assists per game with 6.1.
- Brynna Maxwell has made a three-pointer in every game this season and is sixth in the country with 73 three-pointers made this season. She sits at 12th overall with 45.3% from beyond the arc.
- Yvonne Ejim is fourth in the country in field goals with 209 scored this season. Her 487 points scored this year ranks 17th in the nation. Ejim has also scored double figures for 30-straight games and has scored at least 20 points in 14 games this season. 
- Ejim is shooting at 65.1%, which ranks fifth in the country and first in the WCC. She is currently averaging 20.3 ppg, which is ranked 19th in the nation and first in the conference.
- Yvonne Ejim has been named to the Naismith POY Watch List, Katrina McClain Top 10 Power Forward Watch list, the Wade Trophy Watch List along with the Becky Hammon Player of the Year Midseason Watch List. She has been WCC Player of the Week five times this season. She was also ESPN's Player of the Week and the Ann Meyers Drysdale National Player of the Week (12/4). 
- Lisa Fortier was named to the 2024 Kathy Delaney-Smith Coach of the Year Award midseason watch list. This year's watch list includes coaches from eight conferences.
- The Bulldogs were picked to win the West Coast Conference this season by the league's coaches.
- Gonzaga has amassed a conference record of 274-34 (.889) during the last 18 seasons. 
- Last season, GU advanced to the NCAA Tournament for the sixth-straight year under Lisa Fortier.

LAST MEETING: The Bulldogs defeated Saint Mary's at home earlier this season, 89-60.  Kaylynne Truong hit seven 3-pointers and scored a season-high 25 points as Yvonne Ejim added 22 points in the win.         

SCOUTING THE GAELS
-  Saint Mary's women's basketball battled against Santa Clara last Saturday afternoon, but the Broncos quelled the Gaels comeback attempts in a 70-58 loss at the Leavey Center, ending their win streak against SCU at five games.
- Leia Hanafin set career highs in three pointers with four, doubling her previous single-game high on her way to a career-high 12 points. Bamberger led the Gaels with 15 points.
- The Gaels currently sit 10-14 overall and 3-7 in the WCC. SMC sits at seventh place in the conference.
- They are led by Zeryhia Aokuso, who averages 11.1 points a game. Bamberger leads the team in rebounds with 4.6 a game.
