SPOKANE, Wash. — Gonzaga picked up its 20
th win of the season in a 102-76 rout over Pacific in the McCarthey Athletic Center Saturday. The Zags have reached the 20-win plateau in each of the last 27 seasons, which is second for the longest active run in the country behind Kansas.
Five Bulldogs (20-6, 10-2 West Coast Conference) finished in double-digit scoring for the third straight game, and GU made a season-high 66.1 percent (37-56) of its shots from the field.
Graham Ike led Gonzaga with 21 points, his third straight 20-point outing, making all nine of his shots from the field. It was the most makes without a miss by a Zag since Rui Hachimura went 9-for-9 against Denver on Dec. 21, 2018.
Ryan Nembhard record his second straight double-double with 18 points and 10 assists. He had 11 assists in the win at Loyola Marymount Thursday. The junior became the first Bulldog to have back-to-back double-digit assist games since Derek Raivio had 11 assists versus Portland State and 13 assists against Montana to open the 2004-05 season.
Anton Watson sank 7-of-8 from the field and scored 17.
Braden Huff had 14 of his 17 points in the second half. Huff and Ike both grabbed six rebounds.
Nolan Hickman hit four three-pointers and finished with 16 points.
Nicquel Blake led the way for the Tigers (6-22, 0-13) with 20 points. Donovan Williams added 16 points.
Gonzaga rides a four-game win streak to Portland (9-19, 3-10) Thursday at 6 p.m. The Pilots dropped their fourth straight game Saturday, falling at Pepperdine 91-70.
