KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Gonzaga's
Graham Ike was named NABC First Team All-District 9 and
Anton Watson was named second team Tuesday.
The All-District honors are voted on by NABC-member coaches across NCAA Division I.
Ike averages a team-high 16.7 points and 7.2 rebounds per game. He is shooting 61.1 percent from the field. He led the West Coast Conference in scoring during league play at 18.4 points per game at a WCC-best 64 percent shooting from the field. He's just the sixth player in conference history to lead in both categories and just the second player since the 1980-81 season to pull off that feat. It's also the sixth consecutive season a Gonzaga player has led the WCC in field goal percentage in conference games. Ike is sixth in the conference pulling down 7.2 rebounds per game.
Watson led the West Coast Conference in steals per league game at 1.7 and was second overall at 1.5. He moved to second all-time at GU this season with 211 career steals. The senior is the only player in program history to have 1,000 points, 700 rebounds, and 200 steals in a career. This season, he is ninth in the conference averaging 14.4 points per game, and seventh grabbing 7.1 rebounds per game.
