ATLANTA —
Yvonne Ejim has been named a region finalist for the 2024 WBCA NCAA Division I Coaches' All-America, the organization announced Wednesday morning.
The 2024 WBCA NCAA Division I Coaches' All-America team will be announced later this month.
Ejim was recently named the 2024 WCC Player of the Year along with Defensive Player of the Year. Ejim has been unstoppable offensively this season, bringing unmatched consistency and prowess. Despite missing a pair of Conference games while representing Canada in an Olympic qualifying tournament, Ejim led the Bulldogs and the league in scoring at 20 points per game, which was good enough for 22nd in the country. She has scored in double figures in 37-straight games, dating back to last season. Ejim also led the WCC and is sixth in the nation in field goal percentage at 62.8 percent. She has scored double figures in every game so far this season and has recorded 15 double-doubles.\
WBCA member head coaches may nominate players from their own teams for Coaches' All-America. They then vote for the top eight players in their respective regions from among those players who are nominated. The selection committee, which is composed of head coaches from each region who are elected by their peers, may select up to 12 additional at-large finalists from the remaining pool of nominees.
