Box Score MORAGA, Calif. – The Gonzaga women's tennis team continued their spring conference schedule by facing Saint Mary's earlier this morning. Coming into today's match, the Zags had won three of the previous four matches against the Gaels, a streak dating back to the 2019 season.
 
Starting with the doubles competition, Saint Mary's Iman Khan and Olivia Rook earned a 7-6 court one win over Gonzaga's Emily Robertson and Ella Nielsen. Saint Mary's clinched the doubles point on court three, as Stefanie Silva and Sofie Daryaie defeated Gonzaga's Brooke Bittner and Lia Espinal by a score of 6-4.
 
With the doubles point already clinched, the court two match between Gonzaga's Kianna Oda and Caroline Wernli and Saint Mary's Juliette Daries and Madison Weekley went unfinished, ending with a score of 6-6.
 
Moving to the singles competition, Saint Mary's increased their lead when Daries claimed a 6-2, 6-3 court three victory against Nielsen. Shortly after, Silva defeated Wernli on court four by a score of 6-3, 6-3. Gonzaga earned their first team point of the day on court two, as Oda defeated Saint Mary's TianYu Dong by a score of 7-6, 6-1.
 
In the No.1 spot, Saint Mary's clinched the team victory when Khan defeated Robertson by a score of 1-6, 7-6, 6-4. With Saint Mary's having already clinched the match, all remaining singles matches went unfinished.
 
Up Next: After today's match, the Gonzaga women's tennis team will return to the Stevens Center for a three-game home stretch on April 7th, when they are scheduled to host Loyola Marymount at 11 am. The Bulldogs will also host San Diego on April 12th and Pepperdine on April 14th.
