SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. – Gonzaga's
Graham Ike,
Ryan Nembhard, and
Anton Watson were named First Team All-West Coast Conference the league announced Tuesday.
Nolan Hickman earned second team honors and
Braden Huff was tabbed All-Freshman.
All five major individual awards – along with the All-West Coast Conference Teams and the All-Freshman Team – were voted on solely by the league's nine head coaches.
Ike led the West Coast Conference in scoring during league play at 18.4 points per game at a WCC-best 64 percent shooting from the field. He scored 20 or more in 11 of the 16 WCC games, including the last seven contests. The redshirt junior is second in the conference averaging 16.9 points per games overall at 62 percent from the field. Ike is fourth in the league pulling down 7.3 rebounds per game.
Nembhard tops the West Coast Conference in assists per game at 6.4, including 6.8 in league games, and assist-to-turnover ratio (2.9, 4.0 in WCC play). The Canadian is 14
th in the conference averaging 12.8 points per outing, and 13.8 in WCC action. He is sixth in the conference averaging 1.4 steals per league game. Nembhard has 24 games of five or more assists this season.
Watson led the West Coast Conference in steals per league game at 1.7 and was second overall at 1.6. He moved to second all-time at GU this season with 211 career steals. The senior is the only player in program history to have 1,000 points, 700 rebounds, and 200 steals in a career. This season, he is ninth in the conference averaging 14.2 points per game, and seventh grabbing 7.1 rebounds per game.
Hickman paced the West Coast Conference in three-pointers made per league games at 2.9. He was also second in the WCC making 45.5 percent from behind-the-arc in conference play. The junior is 10
th in the conference scoring 14 points per game. He tops the WCC playing 36 minutes per league game. Hickman has 24 double-digit scoring games, including four 20-point outings.
Huff is averaging 9.8 points per game at 61.3 percent shooting from the field. He's made 20 three-pointers and has 14 double-digit scoring games this season. The Glen Ellyn, Illinois, native, adds 3.7 rebounds per game and has 22 blocks.
