Eisenstat, Ratfield Lead Five WCC All-Academic Honors

SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. – The West Coast Conference has announced its Baseball All-Academic Team for the 2024 season, as Tommy Eisenstat and Donovan Ratfield both earned All-Academic First Team honors with three more earning Honorable Mention nods.
At the conclusion of each athletic season, the WCC selects an all-academic squad for each WCC-sponsored sport. To be considered, a student-athlete must maintain at least a 3.20 cumulative grade point average, while also being a significant contributor to his team and in at least their second year at their school. This year's 13-member first team encompasses WCC student-athletes who excelled both on the diamond and in the classroom.
Eisenstat is an Environmental Studies major holding a 3.86 cumulative GPA for Gonzaga. On the field for the Zags this season, Eisenstat led the team in average (.299), hits (53), and runs scored (30) while slugging .407.
Ratfield, a Political Science major with a 3.82 cumulative GPA, was a big part of Gonzaga's battery this season, starting in 47 of the 49 games behind the plate. He finished second on the team in doubles (9) and fourth in hits (40) while throwing out ten baserunners.
In addition, Hank Dunn (3.94 GPA, Sport Management), Tyler Griggs (3.70 GPA, Business Administration), and Sam Stem (3.79, Kinesiology) made the honorable mention list to round out Gonzaga's academic recognition this season.
