HANOVER, NH – The Gonzaga women's tennis team wrapped up the second day of the Fall Foliage Fest against Dartmouth on Saturday afternoon.
The Zags started with doubles with
Ella Nielsen and
Rose Hayes teaming up for the No. 1 spot and fell 6-1.
Brooke Bittner and
Safien Boulonois played at the No. 2 position and dropped 6-2.
Lia Espinal and
Savannah Johnson also played together on the No. 3 court and fell 6-1.
Moving on to singles, Nielsen won her match on court three with scores of 6-2, 7-6 (3). Hayes competed at the No. 1 position and had competitive sets but came out just short, 7-5, 6-4.
Boulonois played at No. 2 and fell in straight sets, 6-2, 6-3. On court four, Bittner competed and had a tiebreaker for the third set as she won the first set 6-2, and then dropped the next set 6-0. The tiebreaker went in favor of Dartmouth, 10-3.
Espinal was on court five and fell 6-2, 6-1. Wrapping up singles on court six was Johnson, who dropped her match 6-1, 6-3.
