SAN BRUNO, Calif. – Gonzaga forward Lauren Whittaker was named the West Coast Conference Freshman of the Week on Monday. This is the second time this season she has been given the honors.
 
WEST COAST CONFERENCE FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK – LAUREN WHITTAKER, F – GONZAGA
Lauren Whittaker (Canterbury, New Zealand) collected her second freshman of the week honor of the season. She led Gonzaga in scoring in both games last week, posting 21 points in the win over Eastern Washington and 15 against South Dakota State.  Whittaker recorded her first career double-double with 15 points and a career-high 13 rebounds to go along with two steals in a career-long 37 minutes played in Thursday's game at South Dakota State.
