SAN BRUNO, Calif. – Gonzaga's
Braden Huff was named the West Coast Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week Monday. It's Huff's first career WCC Player of the Week honor, and the Zags' second this season.
Huff had two 20-point efforts while guiding Gonzaga to a pair of wins. His 44 total points came on 21-of-28 (75 pct) shooting from the field.
Against No. 18 Kentucky in Nashville, Huff was 9-of-11 and scored 20 points. Two nights later, the Glen Ellyn, Ill., native, finished with a season-high 24 points, just two off his career-high. Huff grabbed seven rebounds as well versus UNF.
Huff currently ranks fifth in the conference in scoring (17.0) and second in field goal percentage (65.6). His field goal percentage is 19
th in the nation, and the redshirt junior's 80 made field goals is fourth.
