Moving to singles, Branchetti notched another Zags' point with a commanding 6-2, 6-1 victory. The Aztecs took a 3-2 lead in the overall match by defeating Tom Dunlop (6-4, 6-2), Ampaw (6-3, 6-2), and Reeves (7-6 (4), 6-3).

Two singles bouts remained, with both in their third set. Fairclough knotted the dual 3-3, surviving 6-0, 4-6, 6-4 and improving to a team-best 8-3 in singles this season. On court six, Oscar Rashed overcame a dropped first set to win 4-6, 6-4, 6-3 and clinch the overall match for Gonzaga.
