ATLANTA —
Yvonne Ejim,
Maud Huijbens and
Allie Turner have all been named an WBCA NCAA Division I Coaches' All-America honorable mention, the organization announced today. Gonzaga is one of only four schools in the country to have three players given the honors.
The three players were a major part in Gonzaga's success this year. Both Ejim and Turner were named to the All-WCC First Team while Huijbens was All-WCC Honorable Mention. Turner was also named the WCC Freshman of the Year and broke the single season record of most three-pointers with 103. Ejim won the WCC Player and Defensiv Player of the Year for the second-straight season and broke records in scoring, rebounding and field goals for Gonzaga. The three led the Bulldogs to its 20th WCC Regular Season Title and the Zags also advanced to the quarterfinals of the WBIT after defeating #1 seed Colorado.
