COOPER RIVER, N.J. -- Gonzaga Men's Rowing wrapped up its 2025 season on Sunday morning at the IRA National Championships in both the Varsity 8 and Second Varsity 8 events.
"This was a great experience for this team," head coach
Dan Gehn said. "They earned the right to race at the championship and went after it. They are already talking about qualifying next year!"
The Varsity 8+ boat started off the day for the Zags as the crew finished sixth in its final heat, recording a time of 5:48.950. Georgetown took the win in 5:37.800, followed by Holy Cross and Oregon State. The
Zags stayed composed throughout the race and delivered a spirited performance.
Earlier in the morning, the Bulldogs' Second Varsity 8+ raced in their final heat and finished sixth with a time of 6:12.520. Georgetown led the field in 5:46.570, followed closely by La Salle and Oregon State.
Gonzaga showed determination through the full 2,000 meters, closing out its spring with a strong effort against a deep national lineup.
