THE OPENING TIP
- Gonzaga plays for its 12th straight win when it visits Seattle University Saturday at 7 p.m. The matchup will be played inside Climate Pledge Arena. It's the 73rd all-time meeting between the programs.
- The Zags won the first matchup this season, 80-72 in overtime, in Spokane on Jan. 2. GU trailed by 13 points twice in the second half, but rallied for the win in the first meeting in 36 years with the in-state foe.
- The Bulldogs are coming off an 86-65 win at Washington State Thursday. GU won its 11th straight game behind
Graham Ike's 23 points and 11 rebounds for his 11th double-double of the season.
Adam Miller and
Jalen Warley added 13 and 11 points. Warley had four steals and Ike dished out a game-high five assists. GU outscored the Cougars 52-12 in the paint, 27-8 in points off turnovers, and 16-2 in fastbreak points. The Bulldogs turned 17 offensive rebounds into 19 second chance points.
- The Zags have had at least 10 wins in-a-row in 17 seasons under Few, but this is the first since 2022-23.
- GU's 18-1 start matches the fifth-best start in program history, and was 5-0 in WCC play for the 11th time in the last 12 seasons. The Zags' eight straight road wins matches the second-longest streak in the nation.

Braeden Smith tops the WCC, and is 14th in the nation, with a 3.63 assist-to-turnover ratio.
- Ike tops the nation among active scorers in NCAA Div. 1 with 2,284 points, Indiana's Tucker DeVries is second at 2,234. Ike's 1,053 rebounds also ranks second among active players. He is the only active player with 2,000 points and 1,000 rebounds in a career.

SCOUTING THE REDHAWKS
- Seattle snapped a three-game skid with a 75-64 home win over San Diego Thursday. Junseok Yeo scored 18 points, one of four players in double figures. Braydon Maldonado added 16 points, while John Christofilis chipped in 11 off the bench, and Will Heimbrodt had 10 plus five rebounds and two more blocked shots. The Redhawks shot 48.1 percent from the field, hitting 25-of-52, including 40 percent from downtown at 8-of-20.
- Maldonado averages a team-high 15.1 points per game. He has made a team-best 42 threes at 38.2 percent. He is 10th in the country shooting 92.4 percent from the free-throw line.
- Will Heimbrodt chips in 13.1 points and 5.0 rebounds. Yeo is scoring 12.3 points per outing.
- Heimbrodt tops the WCC, and is seventh in the nation, averaging 2.67 blocks per game.
- Maurer is pulling down a team-high 5.1 rebounds. Maleek Arlington dishes out 4.5 assists per game.
- Seattle leads the WCC, and is 17th in the country, at 5.3 blocks per game. The Redhawks also top the conference averaging 15.05 turnovers forced per game. Their 40.5 field goal percentage defense is second in the league, and SU's 68.0 points per game allowed ranks third in the WCC.
