SPOKANE, Wash. -- The Gonzaga women's team opened the spring season at home with a sweeping performance in both doubles and singles, taking the win by 7-0. 

In doubles, Emily Robertson and Elizabeth Tindera had faced Eastern's Olivia Marais and Zoe Pradel, winning the match 6-2. Another Gonzaga duo, Brooke Bittner and Diana Yanotovskaya, dominated their set by taking home the win 6-1.

In singles, Rose Hayes battled through a three-set win over Eastern's Veronica Gayevyk, 2-6, 6-1, before winning the last set 6-1. Other singles action includes Sveva Zerpelloni's victory in both sets 6-3 and 6-2, while Diana Yanotovskaya fought through the match against Leandra Nizetic and ended with a 1-6, 6-3, 10-6 decision.

Gonzaga's women's tennis team will continue their spring season with another home match as they take on the Montana Grizzlies on Sunday.
