SPOKANE, Wash. -- The women's tennis team is back from their trek to Las Vegas, playing in the Stevens Center this weekend against Boise State. The Zags put up a great battle, but fell 4-0.
In doubles play,
Rose Hayes and
Sveva Zerpelloni took on the Broncos Zdena Safarova and Tereza Polakova, winning the set 6-4.
Elizabeth Tindera and
Diana Yanotovskaya played an incredible doubles set but came up short, 6-4.
Emily Robertson and
Karla Brown also came up short in their doubles play against the Broncos, 7-5.
As for singles,
Emily Robertson faced Zdena Safarova and kept up an incredible match for the Zags. Robertson was unfortunately defeated 6-4 and 7-5.
Madeleine MacNeille played on court six, taking on Boise State's Carla Grignac, 6-1 and 6-0.
The women's team will be back in the Stevens Center this upcoming Wednesday, March 4th, to take on Pepperdine. The match will start at 2 p.m.
