LA QUINTA, Calif. – Gonzaga women's golf finished eighth at the Yale Invitational West, held at PGA West Nicklaus Tournament Course.
Grace Lee and
Brenna Preap led the Bulldogs, each tying for 13th at 2-over-par (218).
Lee carded rounds of 74, 70 and 74. She finished tied for fifth in the field in par-3 scoring at 3.00 (E) and totaled eight birdies and 36 pars over the tournament.
Preap finished with rounds of 73, 75 and 70. Her final round 2-under (70) was Gonzaga's low round of the tournament, and she finished tied for 10th in the field with 10 birdies.
The Bulldogs posted a 54-hole team score of 43-over-par, turning in team rounds of +19, +13 and +11 in a very competitive field featuring nationally ranked teams and golfers.
Vanessa Zhang placed 43rd at 18-over (234) with rounds of 78, 78 and 78.
Esther Yoo finished 46th at 19-over (235), and
Taylor Mularski took 49th at 23-over (239).
Competing as an individual,
Michelle Mogi finished 58th at 34-over (250).
Pepperdine earned the team title at 15-under (849). Kansas was second at 13-under (851). Lyla Louderbaugh of Kansas took medalist honors at nine-under (207).
Gonzaga next heads to Arizona for the Red Rocks Invitational at Oakcreek Country Club March 13-15.
