Mikey Bell was named to Baseball America's National Team of the Week on Tuesday morning, taking the spot as the top third baseman in the country after an exceptional week.
Bell led the nation in hits last week, picking up 16 hits while batting .640 across five games. He had five hits in two separate games, tying the program single-game record for hits both times. Six of these hits were extra base hits, with Bell hitting five doubles and a home run. He totaled nine RBI and eight runs scored and had a stolen base. He had a 1.614 OPS on the week across the five wins.
Mikey Bell had an average exit velocity of 95 miles per hour. His home run to deep left field was clocked at 110 miles per hour off the bat and traveled 443 feet. Bell was also named as a top national hitter by D1Baseball on Monday. He was recognized as the WCC player of the week yesterday as well.
