Women's Rowing Finishes Races at Big Ten Invite

The Zags stay on the road next weekend

SACRAMENTO, Calif. – The Gonzaga women's rowing team wrapped up competition at the Big Ten Invitational on Sunday, facing a deep field of nationally competitive programs at Lake Natoma. The Bulldogs competed across four races in the final session.

Gonzaga opened the morning in the 2V4, clocking a time of 8:02.370 to place fifth against a strong lineup that included UCLA, USC and Minnesota. The Bulldogs followed in the 1V4, finishing fifth with a time of 7:47.417 in another tightly contested race.

In the eights, Gonzaga's 2V8 posted a time of 6:48.357 to finish fifth, showing improved speed against top-tier competition. The varsity eight capped the day for the Zags, crossing in 6:47.627 to place fourth in a fast race won by UCLA.

Across the weekend, Gonzaga competed against multiple nationally ranked and Big Ten programs.
