SAN BRUNO, Calif.- Karsten Sweum earned his third WCC Pitcher of the Week award, picking up the award after he threw the sixth no-hitter in Gonzaga history on Saturday.

The no-hitter took place over seven innings thanks to a run-rule victory, clinching the conference regular season championship for the Zasg. Sweum struck out 15 of the 21 outs in the game. He allowed just two walks and struck out 11 of the 12 total batters he faced in the middle four innings of his start. He needed just 93 pitches for the no-hitter, throwing 63 of those for strikes. Sweum has now won conference pitcher of the week three times this season and twice in the last three weeks. He currently leads the WCC with strikeouts on the season with 99.
