Prior to Gonzaga
Owens signed with Gonzaga amidst her senior track season and after a successful senior season of cross country. Owens led York to a team postseason sweep in the ISHA 3A Regional, Sectional and State meets in the 3-mile. As an individual, she won the regional race before taking fourth and 12th in the sectional and state meets, respectively. Her state race time of 17:20.7 was her third PR of the season as York secured the 15-point margin of victory. She concluded her senior season at the Nike Cross Regional and National Meets in November and December, placing 43rd at the Midwest Regional and cracking the Top 100 at the National Meet three weeks later. On the track, Owens has competed in events ranging from the 400m all the way through the 3200m for the Dukes.
