Gonzaga University:
•2015-2016: Redshirted the 2015 Cross Country season. Indoors, ran the #3 Mile in school history running 4:08.49 at the UW Husky Classic. Outdoors, ran 3:46.05 for the 1,500 meters placing him #3 on the Gonzaga all-time list. Ran the #4 time in Gonzaga history in the 800 meters with a time of 1:52.30.
•2016-2017: Redshirted indoor and outdoor track due to prolonged injury during the fall season
•2017-2018: Ran a personal best of 3:45.91 in the McChesney 1500m at the Oregon Twilight in Eugene earning him a spot at the NCAA West Regionals in Sacramento where he placed 26th of 48 out of the elite field.

High School:
Graduate of South Kitsap High School in Port Orchard, WA...State Runner up in the 800 meter run at the 2015 4A WIAA Track and Field Championships with a time of 1:53.53; also placed 4th in the 1600 meters with a time of 4:16.09…State Champion in the 4x400 as a sophomore (3:18.59) …high school GPA of 4.0…was the Valedictorian of his 542 person graduating class…personal bests of 1:53 (800) and 4:12 (1600)

Personal:
Son of Heidi and Jeff Villarma of Port Orchard, Washington. Mason is pursuing a double major in Accounting and Finance at Gonzaga and plans to attend law school after his GUXCTF campaign. He enjoys spending time with his family and friends and enjoys his job as a commercial fisherman. Every summer he fishes out of Wrangell, AK where he catches Dungeness crab and pacific salmon.
