Gonzaga University Athletics

Gonzaga University-  (2016-17) Cross Country – Redshirt. Indoor – Ran the 3k at UW Preview and UW Classic Invites with a PR of 8:35.25 Outdoor – Competed at Buc Scoring, UCLA Legends Invite, Mt. SAC Relays and Portland Twilight Invite. Ran a PR of 30:35 in the 10k to qualify for USA Juniors. Placed 3^rd overall in the 10k at USA Juniors.

(2017-18) Cross Country – Competed at Bill Dillinger Invite, Pre-Nationals in Kentucky, WCC Conference and NCAA Regionals in Seattle. Placed 49^th at Regionals with a 10^th place team finish. Received WCC All-Academic award. Indoor – Contended in the UW Preview, UW Invite and Husky Classic with a PR of 14:40 in the 5k. Outdoor – Raced at the Pelluer Invite, WAR XI and Portland Twilight Invite. Ran a PR of 30:01 in the 10k at the Mt. Sac Relays Invite.

(2018-19) Cross Country - Ran at the Cougar Cross Country Classic and the Inland Empire Challenge. Indoor - Raced the 3k at the UW Preview. Also competed at the UW Invitational (5k). Outdoor - Took 2nd in the 5k at WAR 12. Competed in the 10k at the Cardinal Classic running 30:09.34. Won the 5k at the Spokane Memorial 2019. Also competed in the 10k at the West Coast Invitational.

(2019-20) Cross Country – Competed at the Clash of the Inland Northwest, Cougar Classic, Joe Piane Invitational, Nuttycombe Invitational, West Coast Conference and NCAA Regionals in Colfax. Placed 49^th at NCAA Regionals as the final scoring member for a program-best 6^th place team finish. Gonzaga was the first team out of NCAA Nationals. Received WCC All-Academic award. Indoor – Raced in the 5k at UW Invite with a time of 14:40. Outdoor – Cancelled due to Covid-19.

(2020) Cross Country – Postponed due to Covid-19.

High School- Fishburn enjoyed a standout career at Kamiakin High School where he placed 5^th at the 2015 WIAA State Cross Country Championships with a time of 15:29.2. He would also place seventh at the NXR Northwest meet. On the track, Fishburn placed 4^th in the 3200 meter run at the WIAA State Track and Field Championships running a personal best time of 9:14.95 in the 3200 meters.

Personal Note: “The family atmosphere was the biggest factor with choosing Gonzaga,” Fishburn said. “That along with the phenomenal coaching and academics helped make my decision.” Fishburn’s favorite food is Spam and his favorite drink is a Guinness. Academic Major:  Computer Engineering with a Computer Science minor.
