Biography

2022-23 (Senior): Salas competed in 6 tournaments in the 2022-23 season.  Salas held a season average of 75.78.  His best tournament score was +7 relative to par at the Ping Cougar classic.  At the SeattleU Redhawk Invitational he had his best finish placing 52nd helping Gonzaga place 7th. 

2021-22 (Junior):
Salas holds a Gonzaga career average of 75.56. Salas joined Gonzaga’s men’s team coming as one of Guam’s top golfers on the island. In his time at Gonzaga, Salas has appeared in 32 rounds shooting an average of 75.56.

JUNIOR (2020-21): Played in four tournaments this year for a total of 12 rounds… Had a 76.00 stroke average on the year.

SOPHOMORE (2019-20): Appeared in three events … 74.44 scoring average …tied for 27th at The Joust on April 24-25, at 15-over (225) ... tying for 28th at the Oregon State Invitational on Oct. 14-15, finished seven-over (220) … season-low round of 68 in second round … tied for 105th at the Ka’anapali Collegiate Classic at 12-over (225).

FRESHMAN (2018-19): Appeared in four tournaments…76.00 scoring average…11 rounds played…low round of 70 at the Mark Simpson Invitational and Loyola Intercollegiate…finished seven-over at the Bill Cullum Invitational, tied for 52nd.

HIGH SCHOOL: Salas joins the Zags after a stellar career at Father Duenas Memorial School in Guam. In 2017, he placed 10th at the AJGA Se Ri Pak Jr Championship and 12th at the AJGA ACDS/Ryan Moore Tournament. Salas was sixth at the 2016 Northern California Junior Championship and 18th at 2015 FCG World Championships. Salas has competed against some of the best junior golfers and earned rankings in the IMG Junior World tournaments in San Diego, the British Junior World and APGC in Taiwan. He's also a four-time champion in the Independent Interscholastic Athletic Association of Guam All-Island Golf League Championship. In the classroom, Salas has received top honors all four years in high school and was inducted into the Father Duenas National Honor Society.
