SOPHOMORE (2024-25): Played in all 11 of the Zags’ events this season, finishing with an average score of 73.94 per round… Had 10 rounds at or below par… Team’s best finisher at the Loyola Intercollegiate, shooting a -2… Also the team’s best finisher at the UC San Diego Invitational, finishing tied for 28th out of 111 players after shooting +11 on the famous South Course at Torrey Pines… Had an impressive 66 in the third round of the Ka’anapali Collegiate Classic to finish the round -5… Best placement of the season was tied for 12th out of 72 golfers with an even-par 213 at the Oregon State Invitational… Finished tied for 42nd at the WCC Championships, which included a -2 performance in the opening round.

FRESHMAN (2023-24): Performed in nine events this season for the Zags, averaging an impressive score of 74.48 per round… Had six rounds at or below par and one top-ten finish this season… Shot a career-best 65 at the final round of the SeattleU Redhawk Classic, which was also tied for the lowest round this season for the Zags, at -6… Shot an impressive -2, and finished with a score of 70, at the opening round of the Loyola Intercollegiate… Finished with a career-best -2 at the SeattleU Redhawk Invitational, which also earned him tied for eighth place out of over 100 competitors… Finished 39th at the WCC Championships, including shooting par on the second day of the event.

PRIOR TO GONZAGA: Chang carries a World Amateur Golf ranking of 519. He won the first 2022 Future Challenge Championship after rounds of 69, 74 and 70. He was the runner-up at the second Future Challenge Championship. Chang also took medalist honors at the National Fall Tournament following rounds of 69, 76, 73 and 78. In 2021, Chang won the eighth annual FCG Challenge Cup after back-to-back rounds of 69. He was the runner-up at the FCG Callaway World Championships (67-69-69). He led his team to the National Senior High School Championship title after his fifth-place individual finish.
