Prior to Gonzaga
- Graduated from Davis Senior High School in Davis, California. Ran cross country and track for all four years of high school. Highlights include a PR of 9:12 in the 3200m and placing 10th as a team at the 2019 CIF XC State Championships.
Personal
- “I chose Gonzaga because of the amazing team culture and for the opportunity to be coached by Pat Tyson.” Academically, Ansel is looking forward to smaller class sizes and making connections with professors. Ansel is inspired by runners such as Prefontaine and Billy Mills.
