Gonzaga University- Graduated in 2015 as the #5 all-time outdoor 3000 meter runner with a time of 8:35.53 at the 2014 Oregon Preview Meet in Eugene, Oregon…ran his 8k XC PR at the Notre Dame Invitational and help the Zags place 13th overall defeated teams like Notre Dame, Penn, Iowa, and Butler
High School- Graduated from Davis High School in Davis, CA…as a junior helped his cross country team to a 4th place finish at the 2009 CIF State Cross Country Championships…as a senior was captain of his cross country team…personal bests of 4:25 (1600) and 9:39 (3200)
Personal- Economics and biology major…father is a professional researcher at UC Davis ... chose Gonzaga for the coaching and wanted to be a part of a program that was breaking through to the next level ... future athletic goals: help the team break into the top 10 West Regional ... future academic goal: earn a graduate degree in applied economics ... nicknames: BVD and Old Man Deynze ... weird fact: been able to grow a full beard since 9th grade.
