Gonzaga University- currently #7 on the sophomore all time outdoor 1500 meter list…personal bests 3:53.64 (1500)
High School- Graduate of Scottsdale Christian Academy in Scottsdale, Ariz…placed in the top 4 in the 800, 1600, and 3200 meter runs at the 2013 Arizona State Divison IV Track and Field Championships…also placed 8th in the 800 at the 2012 Arizona State Division IV Track and Field Championships as a junior…personal bests of 1:59 (800), 4:24 (1600)
Personal- Biology major…father’s side of the family is from Uruguay and mom is from Bolivia…motivated by American distance runner Ryan Hall…chose Gonzaga because he wanted to be part of a growing running program with a tight-knit group of guys while going to a school with a good academic reputation…best off-course moment: watching former Zags Robert Walgren and Nate Gessel win the Athletic Department’s annual corn hole tournament…weird fact: speaks fluent Spanish…secret addiction: sunflower seed butter…nickname: Jerbear
