Biography
(2019-2020): Cross country- Competed at the Inland Empire challenge and Sasquatch invitation with respective times of 24:55 and 25:05 -Indoor- Competed in the 3k at the D1 invitational team challenge -Outdoor- Planned on focusing on the steeple and 5k for the 2020 track season.
(2018-19) Cross Country - Redshirted…Indoor - Competed at the WSU Indoor Track and Field Meet in the Mile. Competed in the 3k at the D1 Invitational Team Challenge…Outdoor - Redshirted.
High School: Connell comes from the highly respected Camas High School distance running program where present Zag Yacine Guermali attended. Tyson describes Connell as a young runner on the move. After placing 25th in the WIAA 4A Championships with a time of 15:55, he made some breakthroughs this spring. Most noteworthy is his 9:17.03, fifth-place finishing time at the WIAA 4A Championships, and his 8:43.14 second-place finish in the 3,000-meters at the prestigious Jesuit Relays in Portland.
Personal:Â From Camas, WA and studying mechanical engineering. Chose Gonzaga for its commitment to excellence in athletic, academics, and the Spokane community. He is currently enjoying being bought into the program and coaching plan.
